Niele Ivey's #5 seeded Fighting Irish put an offensive show tonight on the home court of the #4 seeded Oklahoma Sooners -- putting up a 108 to 64 NCAA Tournament win!

Advancing Notre Dame to the SWEET SIXTEEN!

As far as all-time NCAA records:

• Notre Dame's 35 point half time lead was the largest in women's NCAA history for a lower seed against a higher seed.
• First team in NCAA Tournament history (Men or Women) to beat a higher seeded team by 40+ points
  

 As far as all-time Notre Dame records:

• Most points scored in the first quarter of NCAA tournament game -- 35
• Most points scored in a NCAA tournament game:  108

Now, we wait to see how many of our seniors decide to come back for their COVID YEAR -- all will have that option if Coach Brey extends it to them.

Thank you to the SENSATIONAL SEVEN -- you gave us all you had these last 3 games.  It was fun to watch and if you come back, I think you've all learned we can win playing a little more to the basket on offense and we can play some defense!

Just need to hit the weights a little harder, work on driving to the basket, hanging on to the ball and finishing.  And, wouldn't it be nice if we added a few more players to the rotation next season.

Oh, would we all have loved seeing you guys take on Duke...

Our Fighting Irish arrived in San Diego a little more than 24 hours ago (4:30 AM PT) to take on the #6 seeded Alabama Crimson Tide.  The NCAA Tournament game will tip off TODAY at 4:15 PM ET and will be televised on TNT.

#1 Notre Dame Plays Louisville This Weekend

 

Notre Dame's #1 ranked college baseball team won their first home game this week vs. Valparaiso.  The Irish are now 12-1 on the season heading into a great weekend series that begins today vs. Louisville (13-4).

Here is the baseball schedule for this weekend in Louisville:

• Sunday:  1 PM ET
