ND Hoops' D.C. Connection Started With Him...

The University of Notre Dame's Men's Basketball program has had a pipeline of talented players hailing from the Washington D.C. area -- for many a year...

It all started with a guy by the name of Bob Whitmore.  Bob, who scored the fist ever basket in Purcell Pavilion -- died this past week, after a 20 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Here's a wonderful Washington Post story about Whitmore and his legacy...

How My Dad Honors My Mom on Mother's Day

My parents divorced my senior year in college.  Ever since my Mom's passing (June 2012), my Dad has made a point of stopping by her grave site on Mother's Day to honor her.  Today was no exception.

Mom -- thank you for loving Jay and me.  We miss your presence in our life.

Dad -- thank for doing this for our Mom, it means more than you'll ever know.
