Becca Huffer Earns Her LPGA Playing Status!

The toughest test in women's professional golf -- and Becca Huffer '12 finished in 10th place at (-3) and more importantly, became the first Notre Dame alum to ever earn playing status on the LPGA or PGA tours in HISTORY!

144 holes of golf over 9 days -- with the prize, playing status on the LPGA Tour -- to the top 45 finishers!

No Notre Dame alum (woman or man) has ever achieved this level in professional golf -- full time playing status on the LPGA or PGA tours...

Becca begins her "18 hole walk to history" today at 12:34 PM ET -- got to love that sequence of numbers (just 1's, 2's, 3's and 4's on her card today) -- go get it BECCA!

No Notre Dame alum has ever earned a LPGA Tour Card -- and Becca Huffer '12, is just 21 holes away from becoming the first..

Becca now sits in 10th place -- in the weather delayed 7th round of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament at Pinehurst No. 7.  She stands at -3 for the tournament, after going -4 today through the 15 holes she played before weather called them off the course.

Huffer is now 21 holes away from Notre Dame history!  Finish in the top 45 tomorrow and Becca will be playing on the LPGA Tour!
