Notre Dame Suspends In-Person Classes...
Man, do I feel sorry for our seniors and their families...
This afternoon, Fr. Jenkins announced that the University was suspending all in-person classes for the rest of the Spring Semester at Notre Dame.

The University of Notre Dame just announced that a student has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The student was studying abroad in London. Here's a copy of the official press release.

Notre Dame Announces Hiring of New Provost!
Dr. Marie Lynn Miranda -- a former Provost at Rice University, was just appointed the Charles and Jill Fischer Provost of the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Miranda is the fifth Provost in Notre Dame's history.
Provost Miranda has a family connection to the University -- her father, Constancio Miranda earned his masters degree in civil engineering from Notre Dame in 1962.

NCAA to Grant Spring Sports Athletes...
An additional year of eligibility will be granted to all NCAA Spring Sports student-athletes. I'm going to assume it will be in effect for all student-athletes, not just the seniors...
Here are the sports; baseball, lacrosse, golf, rowing, softball and tennis
No decision has been made on winter sports...
I'm also going to assume the NCAA scholarship limits will have to be expanded.
