The University of Notre Dame's women's soccer team experienced something on Sunday afternoon that they've grown quite unaccustomed to: a defeat. The Fighting Irish saw two significant streaks come to an end in their 2-0 loss to UCONN -- a 77 game conference win streak (a NCAA Division 1 record) and a 100 game "home field" conference win streak -- a fifteen year-old record! The 3rd ranked Irish, now await the NCAA's announcement of the 64 team field in the Women's 2010 NCAA Soccer Championship on Monday, November 8th at 4:30 PM EST.
