Legendary Notre Dame Professor Passes at 94



Notre Dame's most prolific chemistry professor, Emil, T. Hofman left for heaven yesterday morning at the age of 94.  Hofman taught more than 32,000 Notre Dame students.

Jerian Grant's First Pro Summer League Game


Former Notre Dame hoops star Jerian Grant '15, played his first game in a New York Knicks uniform yesterday afternoon in Las Vegas in a NBA Summer League Game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Jerian made one shot from the floor (a three-pointer -- see it in the video link below) and he made 9 of 10 free throws -- to total 12 points for the game.  Here was his stat line:
  • Started:  Yes
  • Minutes Played: 24:25
  • Total Points:  12
  • Field Goals:  1 for 6
  • Free Throws:  9 for 10
  • Rebounds:  5
  • Steals: 2
  • Assists:  3
  • Turn Overs:  3

Connaughton's First Pro Summer League Game


Former Notre Dame hoops and baseball star Pat Connaughton '15, played in his first game as a professional last night in Las Vegas as his Portland Trail Blazers took on the Boston Celtics.

Pat knocked down 3 -- three pointers in five attempts -- scoring a total of nine points in his first game.  Here were his stats for the night:

  • Minutes Played:  29:28
  • Field Goals:  3 for 7
  • Total Points:  9
  • Rebounds:  4
  • Steals:  2
  • Assists:  0
