Let's Take a Look at Temple's Football Schedule

Since we have all day to worry about this game -- allow me to shed some light on the undefeated Owls and the "great" defense we will be playing this evening...

Here's a look at who Temple has played so far -- and the offensive rankings of each team.  For a point of comparison -- here's how ND ranks (against all 128 teams in FBS):
  • Rushing Rank:  #15
  • Passing Rank:  #33
  • Offensive Rank:  #17

Penn State
  • Temple 27 -- Penn State 10
  • Penn State's record: 6 - 2
  • Penn State Rushing Rank:  #82
  • Penn State Passing Rank:  #92
  • Penn State Offensive Rank: #111

Cincinnati
  • Temple 34 -- Cincinnati 26
  • Cincinnati's record: 4 - 3
  • Cincinnati's Rushing Rank:  #34
  • Cincinnati's Passing Rank:  #8
  • Cincinnati's Offensive Rank: #7

UMASS
  • Temple 25 -- UMASS 23
  • UMASS's record: 1 - 6
  • UMASS's Rushing Rank:  #120
  • UMASS's Passing Rank:  #24
  • UMASS's Offensive Rank:  #50

Charlotte
  • Temple 37 -- Charlotte 3
  • Charlotte's record: 3 - 5
  • Charlotte's Rushing Rank:  #58
  • Charlotte's Passing Rank:  #112
  • Charlotte's Offensive Rank:  #104

Tulane
  • Temple 49 -- Tulane 10
  • Tulane's record: 3 - 4
  • Tulane's Rushing Rank:  #122
  • Tulane's Passing Rank:  #84
  • Tulane's Offensive Rank: #122

UCF
  • Temple 30 -- UCF 16
  • UCF's record: 0 - 8
  • UCF's Rushing Rank:  #128
  • UCF's Passing Rank:  #90
  • UCF's Offensive Rank: #128

East Carolina
  • Temple 24 -- East Carolina 14
  • East Carolina's record: 4 - 4
  • East Carolina's Rushing Rank:  #96
  • East Carolina's Passing Rank:  #29
  • East Carolina's Offensive Rank:  #55

NOTE:  When you look at Penn State vs. Cincinnati -- this might be the best argument ever that Defense is more important than Offense -- or, you need to play a BIG TEN schedule...
