Notre Dame's Path to College Football Playoff
Last week we had "nine" teams ahead of us in the rankings -- and now we have seventeen -- after the loss to Texas. I can assure you this -- we win every game here on out, we'll be playing in a College Football Playoff game.
Now, having said that -- we still could use a couple of upsets this weekend. This weekend's games are pretty light after last week's top match-ups:
Arkansas at #15 TCU -- I think we should root for an Arkansas win here. After losing a game to a Big 12 school last week, we need that conference champion to have a loss or two... ROOT FOR ARKANSAS here.
Iowa State at #16 Iowa -- Again, we need to see the Big 12 struggle -- an Iowa win is a good thing. They are not going to run the table and win the Big Ten title. ROOT FOR THE HAWKEYES here.
Kentucky at Florida -- Surprised the Gators fell out of the Top 25 after winning last week. This is a game that I don't think we need to worry about either team as a threat to take one of the spots ND will be fighting for in the College Football Playoff. Pick your favorite -- I'm rooting for Kentucky in this one.
Domer Theo Riddick: 3 Year Contract Extension
Former Notre Dame running back Theo Riddick '13 -- just signed a new three-year deal with the Detroit Lions.

Official Notre Dame Jewelry -- For Him and Her!
Wouldn't you know it, a week later the company that has the Notre Dame License and made this jewelry -- reached out to me.
I let them know, that I don't sell ad space on this site --- yet, I offered to share their story on the ND GO IRISH BLOG.
Biddy Murphy (I love their company name) is a global online retailer based just up the road from the Notre Dame campus in South Haven, MI. The company is named after the owner's mother who is from Killbready, Killenaule, Co. Tipperary (Ireland). Here is a link to their family story.
They have a number of Notre Dame Officially Licensed products -- click on the link below to see for yourself. You can purchase their ND jewelry in the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore -- or at their online site.
Here's the bottom line -- if you want to let the world know you're a NOTRE DAME FAN or that you're IRISH -- this is a great place to shop!
