Stephen F. Austin State's Starters and Key Subs
Notre Dame takes on Stephen F. Austin State University this afternoon at 2:40 PM ET on CBS -- for a spot in next weekend's SWEET SIXTEEN. To get us ready for today's big ballgame -- I thought I'd do a little research on the Lumberjacks...
STARTING LINE-UP
F: WALKUP -- 6'-4" / SENIOR
F: HOLYFIELD -- 6'-7" / FRESHMAN
G: FLOYD -- 5'-11" / SENIOR
G: PINKNEY -- 5'-9" / SENIOR
G: CHARLES -- 6'-5" / SOPHOMORE
KEY SUBSTITUTES
F: GEFFRARD -- 6'-5" / JUNIOR
G: CAMERON -- 6'-3" / JUNIOR
G: JOHNSON -- 6'-0" / SENIOR
F: WILLIAMS -- 6'-7" / JUNIOR
What to watch out for against Stephen F. Austin State:
- Walkup shot 20 free throws against WVU -- making 19. Do we have anyone strong enough to handle him? I'm guessing Vasturia gets this assignment.
- SFA likes to PRESS YOU (BIG TIME) on defense -- all day long. They turned WVU over 22 times while only turning it over 7 times themselves -- THIS WILL BE THE KEY TO THE GAME. Stephen F. Austin led the nation this season in forcing TURNOVERS -- at 18.73 per game
- I am guessing Mike Brey will start Matt Farrell again -- to handle the press defense of Stephen F. Austin.
Key stat of the game: Stephen F. Austin only made 31% of their shots -- yet they still beat West Virginia 70 - 56.
Stephen F. Austin is the hottest team in the tournament (they are not a 14 seed) -- they have not lost a game in 2016 -- winning their last 21 games.
