The University of Notre Dame football team will be heading "just up the road" tomorrow for the Shamrock Series game at Soldier Field against the Miami Hurricanes Saturday night. This will the third PRIME TIME appearance in a row for the IRISH!

Senior students at Saint Mary's College (Notre Dame, IN) were given the option this fall semester to bring their dog or cat to school -- to LIVE with them -- in their dorm room. It was a marketing effort to get more seniors to live in the dorms -- and it worked!

Sylvia Yocoub is a Saint Mary's College (Notre Dame, IN) student -- who auditioned on THE VOICE this past week and was selected to Christina Aguilera's team. Yacoub has put her education on hold for now -- as she hopefully makes a long run on NBC's hit show.

This should come as no surprise to Notre Dame fans -- the Chicago Tribune reported that sales of licensed apparel from the University of Notre Dame was number one in the nation this past week!!!
The University of Notre Dame and the University of Michigan will play each other in football these next two seasons; 2013 and 2014 -- after that, it's anyone's guess as to when they will play again. This is according to Michigan's Athletic Director, Dave Brandon.
Notre Dame's move to the Atlantic Coast Conference and the commitment to play five ACC teams each year -- will impact the IRISH's future scheduling. Here's the Fox News story:

Former Notre Dame All-American Michael Floyd made his first NFL catch and it was a TOUCHDOWN -- in the first half of the Arizona Cardinals' game against Philadelphia.
Floyd chose to celebrate this by "dunking the ball" over the goal post. His buddies are going to give him a hard time about this effort. Here's the video!
Notre Dame held Michigan State and Michigan (these past two weeks) without a touchdown. This is the first time a team has held these two schools without a TD in the same season -- since Ohio State accomplished this in 1970. That's 42 years my friends!

FYI: Ohio State went 9 - 0 that season -- only to lose to Stanford in the Rose Bowl.

Thousands of Notre Dame students and The Band of the Fighting Irish celebrated the big win -- TWENTY TO THIRTY MINUTES -- after many fans had already left the stadium.

It was quite a scene last night in Notre Dame Stadium -- twenty minutes after the game.
The student section was almost completely full, leis of almost every color were being twirled over head and the Notre Dame family was dancing in the stands to "OH WHAT A NIGHT...."
No one wanted to leave -- no one wanted to forget what it was like to win HUGE GAMES -- BACK TO BACK -- IN PRIME TIME!

For those who are counting -- Notre Dame's defense has yet to give up a TOUCHDOWN in prime time!
