A Family Business Celebrating 100 Years!
Ruttura and Sons -- a concrete business located on Long Island, NY -- celebrated their 100th year in business this weekend. CONGRATULATIONS!
Four generations of Ruttura's have worked in the family business -- this Notre Dame family is very special to me.

Golden Tate is "Top Domer" at Golf Tournament
Four former Notre Dame football stars and Head Coach Brian Kelly -- played this week in the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe.
The tournament is scored by a modified Stableford format -- giving points for eagles, birdies and pars...
Here's the final standings amongst the Notre Dame crowd:
- Golden Tate -- 29 points, tied for 37th
- Jerome Bettis -- 22 points, tied for 42nd
- Joe Theismann -- 20 points, tied for 45th
- Tim Brown -- 11 points, tied for 48th
- Brian Kelly -- 7 points, 52nd
Former Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo won the tournament - but passed on the $125,000 first place check. He's heading out tomorrow to qualify for the US Amateur.

Domer Becca Huffer Shoots 65 -- Now in Sixth!
Former Notre Dame women's golf star Becca Huffer shot a 65 yesterday at the Donald Ross Course at the French Lick Resort to move up to a tie for 6th place going into today's FINAL ROUND.
The 65 tied the lowest round of the tournament. Becca is playing some of the best golf of her career, coming off of a 2nd place finish in the last Symetra Tour event.

Took a Photo of New Football Practice Facility
It is massive...
About 67% of what will be a football field inside Notre Dame Football's new indoor practice facility is now covered by a roof -- so they're moving quite quickly. And, as you can see on the south end of the facility -- they've already begun putting up the concrete walls.
My understanding is the top of the ceiling stands 85' above the field...

Domer Dad One Behind for Low Amateur
Mike Finster goes into today's final round of the US Senior Open -- one stroke off the lead for Low Amateur -- after shooting a 71 Saturday!
The lowest scoring Amateur golfer receives a Medal and an automatic exemption into the 2019 US Senior Open -- which will be held at the University of Notre Dame's Warren Golf Course.
The US Senior Open is televised on FS1.

Domer Becca Huffer in Final Pairing Sunday!
Former Notre Dame golf star Becca Huffer (Denver, CO) shot a 66 today to move into a tie for 2nd place and spot in tomorrow's final pairing of the Symetra Tour stop in Cincinnati..@beccahuffergolf put together a 6-under par 66 performance today, which included seven birdies and only one bogey. Notre Dame Dad Makes US Senior Open Cut!
Mike Finster -- the father of a Notre Dame student -- is playing this week in the US Senior Open.
Finster is tied for low amateur -- heading into the weekend! Only 3 amateurs made the cut.

Domer Dad Finster Shoots 72 in Round One...
Mike Finster -- whose Dad and brother are ND alums and his daughter is a student at the University of Notre Dame -- shot an opening round 72 today at the US Senior Open. He currently stands in a tie for 26th place.
Finster's 72 is tied for the 2nd lowest round among the Amateurs playing in this year's US Senior Open.
Mike tees off at 2:25 PM MT tomorrow...

Notre Dame alum, Dr. Matt Butler (on right in photo above) -- a hand surgeon at Hand to Shoulder Center in Wisconsin reattached the severed arm of a construction worker.
The operation took five hours...

Two Incoming Hockey Players Drafted by NHL
Jeff Jackson's Fighting Irish had two of its incoming recruits drafted this weekend in the 2018 NHL Draft.
- Jake Pivonka -- taken #103 by the New York Islanders
- Spencer Stastney -- taken #131 by the Nashville Predators
Both players are on campus getting ready for the upcoming season.
