Our Fighting Irish arrived in San Diego a little more than 24 hours ago (4:30 AM PT) to take on the #6 seeded Alabama Crimson Tide. The NCAA Tournament game will tip off TODAY at 4:15 PM ET and will be televised on TNT.
Notre Dame's #1 ranked college baseball team won their first home game this week vs. Valparaiso. The Irish are now 12-1 on the season heading into a great weekend series that begins today vs. Louisville (13-4).
Here is the baseball schedule for this weekend in Louisville:
Friday: 4 PM ET
Saturday: 1 PM ET
Sunday: 1 PM ET
All the games are available on the ACC NETWORK's streaming service: ACCNX
The first thing that surprised me when I looked into the Alabama Men's Basketball Team was this -- they enter the NCAA Tournament on a THREE GAME LOSING STREAK.
In fact, Bama is 6 - 7 their last 13 games. They earned their #6 seed with some impressive wins in December & January over; Gonzaga, Houston, Tennessee, LSU and Baylor.
Anyway -- here's what we should expect from Bama; they are a fast, athletic, guard oriented offensive attack.
St. Patrick's Day has become a day that Notre Dame Football has decided it will "own" on a recruiting basis. Today -- the Fighting Irish will be offering scholarships to the top HS players in the country who will be graduating in 2024...
#22 Notre Dame Women's Basketball will play the A-10 Champion UMASS Minutewomen in the first round of the NCAA Tournament this Saturday in Norman, OK. Here's what we know about UMass:
Notre Dame continues to win weekend series vs. ACC foes -- this weekend it was #17 North Carolina State as the Fighting Irish are on a 9 game winning streak!
Here's some information about the Rutgers' basketball team -- the highlights above are of the Scarlet Knight's 84-74 loss to the eventual Big Ten champs Iowa Hawkeyes. We play them Wednesday night at 9 PM ET in Dayton, OH.
The Michigan Wolverines finally beat Notre Dame in hockey -- after losing all four games to the IRISH this season -- and SEVEN IN A ROW at Yost Arena in Ann Arbor...
We'll now await where Notre Dame is seeded and who they will play in the NCAA Tournament come next Sunday night -- March 20th.
Our 3rd ranked Fighting Irish had to go 12 innings tonight to beat the 17th ranked NC State Wolfpack in Raleigh, NC. It was a come-from-behind win as Notre Dame was down 4 - 0 before scoring their first run in the 7th.
The Irish pitching staff struck out 15 -- shutting the Wolfpack down over the final 9 innings to take the team's record to 10-1 on the season.
This was Game 1 of a three game series this weekend.
Members of the 2022 Class started their orientation visits to Canton this week. They were greeted with a warm welcome from the HOF Staff.#PFHOF22pic.twitter.com/z0YP2C0IeX

Former Notre Dame All-American Bryant Young will be given the greatest honor in his sport this August when he's formally inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Yesterday, Bryant and his wife Kristin (also a Domer) took a trip to Canton, OH -- site of the Pro Football Hall of Fame -- with all of the other greats who will be immortalized this year...
The #3 ranked Notre Dame Baseball completed their three game sweep of the Big Ten this weekend in Minneapolis -- beating Illinois (6-1), Michigan State (2-1) and Minnesota (3-1) to win the Cambria College Classic.
The bottom line from the three (3) game series with the Big Ten opponents -- Notre Dame pitching dominance!
There’s a consensus that Notre Dame’s Kyle Hamilton is the best safety in the draft. But I also think he’s the best player, period. pic.twitter.com/KbLBRormnf
The 3rd ranked Fighting Irish of Notre Dame were held to just TWO HITS yesterday in their game vs. Michigan State -- but, the TRIPLE and HOME RUN did the trick!
Additional facts: Notre Dame did not strike out. They walked (twice) or, put it in play. Which makes "only two hits" quite surprising. And, I'll bet Notre Dame does not have another game like this all season when they only had 27 at bats in 8 innings.
Truly shocked (and IMPRESSED) we won a game like this.
Todd Bodine (AKA "The Onion"), who has won 22 NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES races and two (2) Truck Series Championships -- was back at it as he begins his quest to achieve 800 NASCAR starts.
Todd and his wife Janet are wonderful people and huge Notre Dame fans!
Unfortunately, Todd's Toyota lost control and he hit a wall on lap 89 of last night's 200 lap race in Las Vegas. He was able to return to the race and ended up finishing 21st in his first start in five years in the Camping World Truck Series.
We may need to get a ND Monogram on Todd's helmet for his next race!
