Waiting for Kick-off? -- Cheer, Cheer for Becca!


Notre Dame alum Becca Huffer '12, is now just 18 holes away from a Notre Dame first.  She stands in 10th place in the LPGA's Qualifying Tournament -- the toughest test in women's professional golf.

144 holes of golf over 9 days -- with the prize, playing status on the LPGA Tour -- to the top 45 finishers!

No Notre Dame alum (woman or man) has ever achieved this level in professional golf -- full time playing status on the LPGA or PGA tours...

Becca begins her "18 hole walk to history" today at 12:34 PM ET -- got to love that sequence of numbers (just 1's, 2's, 3's and 4's on her card today) -- go get it BECCA!

And, GO IRISH!

This Domer's "21 Holes Away From History!"


No Notre Dame alum has ever earned a LPGA Tour Card -- and Becca Huffer '12, is just 21 holes away from becoming the first..

Becca now sits in 10th place -- in the weather delayed 7th round of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament at Pinehurst No. 7.  She stands at -3 for the tournament, after going -4 today through the 15 holes she played before weather called them off the course.

Huffer is now 21 holes away from Notre Dame history!  Finish in the top 45 tomorrow and Becca will be playing on the LPGA Tour!

Go Irish!!!

Domer Huffer Moves Up to 12th at Q-School!


Notre Dame alum, Becca Huffer '12 is now just 36 holes away from something no Notre Dame graduate has ever achieved -- a LPGA Tour Card!

Becca shot an even par 72 today -- moving her up to 12th place -- with 18 holes to play on Friday and 18 holes on Saturday...

The top 45 finishers -- earn their LPGA membership.  Right now Becca is seven shots ahead of the "cut-line" which is currently at +8.

Keep it up Becca!!!

Domer Huffer Shoots Low Round of the Day!


What a day for Notre Dame alum Becca Huffer '12 -- she tied for the low round of the day, during the 5th round of the LPGA Q School at Pinehurst No. 7!

Becca registered 4 birdies and 14 pars -- shooting a 68 -- and moving up to a tie for 14th!!!

The top 45 finishers -- after this 8 round marathon -- earns their LPGA Tour Card!

Keep it up Becca!!!

"Domer" Huffer in Contention @ LPGA Qualifier



It's a grueling test...

Eight rounds of golf -- finish in the top 45 and you earn your LPGA Tour Card for the 2019 season.

Notre Dame alum -- Becca Huffer '12, is currently in a tie for 36th -- after the first four rounds of the LPGA Q-Series event at Pinehurst.

Becca has shot "back to back" 70's to get her in contention for a coveted LPGA Tour Card.  Now she has four more days of tournament golf with the goal to finish among the top 45! 

 The final four rounds begin tomorrow at Pinehurst No. 7.

"When" Becca earns that LPGA Tour Card -- I believe she'll become the first Notre Dame alum in history to have earned that honor!
