Joe Theismann Defending the "Fighting Irish"
Domer Dunne Paired with Mickelson at Pebble
Notre Dame alum and Trustee Jimmy Dunne III is paired this week with Phil Mickelson at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am...
Dunne and Mickelson are tied for 33rd today -- going into the third round. The top 25 teams advance to tomorrow's Final Round. They should get plenty of airtime on CBS today since Mickelson is currently in 6th place, among the professionals at (-10).
They tee off at 12:54 PM ET -- and are paired with Rory McIlroy and Rory's Dad, his amateur playing partner this week.
Where you can watch them today on TV:
- 2 PM ET to 3:30 PM ET on the Golf Channel
- 4 PM ET to 7 PM ET on CBS

Yes, Notre Dame is a BIG TEN CHAMPION!
The folks in Ann Arbor, Columbus, East Lansing, Madison, etc., -- will not enjoy waking up to this news this morning...
In Notre Dame's first foray into the Big Ten Conference -- we win their CHAMPIONSHIP!
It's an achievement they can't claim at Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Penn State -- because these schools have never won a Big Ten Hockey Regular Season Championship.
The only other school that has won this trophy is coached by Notre Dame alum Don Lucia '81 -- the long-time hockey coach at Minnesota.
Lucia was a defenseman for the Fighting Irish and also a hockey dad -- ND Hockey fans will remember his youngest son Mario, donned the Gold Helmet as well...

Notre Dame Wins First Big Ten Championship!
Never thought I'd ever say those words in my lifetime...
Notre Dame's 2 - 1 win tonight over Ohio State clinches the Big Ten Regular Season Hockey Championship -- in our inaugural season of play in this conference!

Shooting Woes Continue for our Fighting Irish
Mike Brey's Fighting Irish have been struggling scoring the basketball -- over the last seven games -- they have shot less than 40% from the field in all SEVEN.
They can't buy a bucket and they can't buy a win -- seven straight losses...
Notre Dame is now ranked #168 in field goal shooting percentage of the 351 teams in Division I college basketball.
To give you a sense on how poorly we're shooting the basketball these last seven games --- there are only SEVEN teams -- out of the 351 in Division I college basketball shooting less than 40% from the field.
