Former ND Coach Diaco -- Defends Play Call
The UCONN Huskies had the ball on Navy's 1 Yard Line with 17 seconds left to play and no timeouts. Diaco chose to run the ball up the middle and Navy stuffed the running play -- the clock ran out before UCONN could get off another snap...
Navy wins 28 - 24.

It's been fifty years since the "Game of the Century" took place on November 19, 1966 between Notre Dame and Michigan State. The game ended in a 10 - 10 tie and the Fighting Irish went on to be named National Champions a few weeks later after walloping USC 51 - 0.
