"Football U" -- Three Teams in Top 10 at ND!

Most Americans only think of one sport when we hear the word "football."  Yet, most of the world -- thinks of the game we call soccer.

So, in the spirit of a global view of sport -- the University of Notre Dame has three teams ranked in the TOP TEN in the country this week in "football:"

• MEN'S SOCCER:  #2
• WOMEN'S SOCCER:  #5
• MEN'S FOOTBALL: #8

No other school in the country has THREE FOOTBALL TEAMS in the TOP TEN!

With the announcement last night that Notre Dame starting TE Durham Smythe would be lost for the season due to a knee injury -- the FIGHTING IRISH have lost FIVE STARTERS -- after only two games.

You can't make this up.

Here's the list of players:

• Jarron Jones -- starting DT -- knee injury
• Shaun Crawford -- starting nickel CB -- knee injury
• Tarean Folson -- starting RB -- knee injury
• Malik Zaire -- starting QB -- ankle injury
• Durham Smythe -- starting TE -- knee injury

I have never seen anything like this -- 20% of your top 25 players -- GONE FOR THE SEASON two games into the season...
