Dan Hesse '75, the CEO of Sprint Nextel and a Notre Dame grad -- was appointed by President Obama yesterday to the President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee.  Hesse is best known for his "starring" role in Sprint's TV commercials -- here's a link:
