Notre Dame's Fighting Alumni won their first game of The Basketball Tournament tonight in thrilling fashion!

ND FANS -- Must See TV Tonight on ESPNU !!!

The Fighting Alumni -- a team of former Notre Dame basketball players will begin the defense of their CHAMPIONSHIP in The Basketball Tournament -- tonight on ESPNU at 8 PM ET.

They won the $500,000 first prize last year -- this year it's $1,000,000 !!!

And, to add to our listening pleasure this evening -- the voice of Notre Dame men's basketball Jack Nolan and the head coach of the Fighting Irish Mike Brey will be handling the play by play and analysis of the game.  Should be fun!!!

Double Domer Named President of WBCA

Former Notre Dame women's basketball player and coach -- Coquese Washington '93, '97 -- was recently named president of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

Coquese is the first African American ever elected to lead the WBCA.  She earned an undergraduate degree and a law degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Washington is currently the head women's basketball coach at Penn State University.

Congratulations Coquese!

Domer Achonwa Leads Canada to Historic Win

Former Notre Dame hoops star Natalie Achonwa '14, led her Canadian teammates to a win last night over the United States in the Pan-American Games for their first ever gold medal in basketball!

Domer Daughter Wins National Championship!

She's only 11 years-old and already a NATIONAL CHAMPION!

JoJo Conway, the daughter of one of my colleagues here at Notre Dame -- Luke Conway '93, won all eleven of her bouts at the Foil National Championships in San Jose, CA to win the National Championship!
