The University of Notre Dame announced today a six-year contract extension for head football coach Brian Kelly!At the end of this new contract -- Coach Kelly will become the second longest tenured coach in Notre Dame football history:
- Knute Rockne: 13 seasons
- Brian Kelly: 12 seasons -- at end of new contract!
- Frank Leahy: 11 seasons
- Ara Parseghian: 11 seasons
- Lou Holtz: 11 seasons
- Elmer Layded: 7 seasons
- Dan Devine: 6 seasons
Coach Kelly currently leads all active FBS head football coaches in career wins with 226!
