Former University of Notre Dame football player and Offensive Coordinator -- Mike Haywood -- led his Miami of Ohio "Redhawks" to a Mid American Conference Championship last night when they upset (the 25th ranked) Northern Illinois, with a TD in the final 33 seconds, 26-21 in the MAC Championship game!
Haywood (in photo holding trophy), in his second-year as a Head Coach, was 1-11 in his first year at Miami.... Now, they're the 9-4 Mid American Conference Champs and off to a bowl game!!!
