The US News & World Report just released their annual rankings of the top universities in America and the University of Notre Dame was ranked in a tie for 16th.
Former Notre Dame All-American Golden Tate was looking real sharp tonight for the start of the NFL season in Motown! Tate caught 6 passes for 93 yards in his Lion's debut in their 35 - 14 win over the New York Football Giants.

Torii Hunter, Sr. -- father of Notre Dame student-athlete Torii Jr., was involved in a scary outfield collision today that led to an inside-the-park home run for the Royal's Lorenzo Cain.
Thankfully, Torii was unhurt and came back to hit a double as he went 3 for 5 in the Tiger's 9 - 5 win over the first-place Royals.
