Carl Yastrzemski "Yaz" was honored by the Boston Red Sox with a statue outside of the right field entrance to Fenway Park. Yastrzemski, recruited to play basketball at Notre Dame -- also played baseball for the IRISH (1957 - 1958) before heading off to the Red Sox organization in 1959.
I have yet to talk with any of my friends who are MSU fans about yesterday's game with Notre Dame.
