Golden Tate Doubles in First At Bat Last Night!

 

Former Notre Dame football and baseball star -- Golden Tate, made his collegiate summer league baseball debut last night in centerfield for the Port Angeles Lefties in the West Coast League.  Here he is in his first at bat for the Lefties slamming an RBI double!

Lets set the scene -- its the annual Notre Dame Football Fantasy Camp.  It's the final day and the two teams square off in iconic Notre Dame Stadium Thursday afternoon.

The BLUE team had just scored a TD to take the lead.  The GOLD team has the ball back with seven seconds left on its own 25 yard line...

Lipscomb -- the starting third baseman for the Tennessee Volunteers has hit 21 home runs, drove in 78 runs and is hitting a robust .361 on the season...

It will be interesting to see how Link Jarrett's pitching staff attacks the sluggers of Tennessee this weekend.
