By Golly Miss Molly! A National Championship!

Junior Molly Seidel (Hartland, WI) won Notre Dame's FIRST EVER INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in Women's Track & Field yesterday!

Molly won the 10,000 meter event at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in Eugene Oregon!  It's only the third time she's ever competed in this event!

I'm guessing the track world will now be calling Notre Dame "Distance U" -- since ND alum Molly Huddle '09, is the current American record holder in the 5,000 meters and now Molly Seidel '16, is the current National Champion in the 10,000 meters -- and the reigning two-time High School Cross Country National Champion Anna Rohrer '19 will be arriving on campus in August!!!

Dave Brown, the long-time Assistant Director of Club Sports at the University of Notre Dame will be retiring July 10th -- yet, he's resurrected memories that will last forever for ND alums and their families alike...

Dave has just published a book (after eight years of research) called GAMES THE IRISH PLAY -- and it's a look back at the 173 year history of Non-Varsity and Recreational Sport at the University of Notre Dame.  This publication is the first-ever to capture the history of Notre Dame's legendary Rec Sports program.

If you're a Notre Dame alum who competed for your Residence Hall's Interhall team or a non Varstiy sport -- this is a "must-have."
