Domer John Carlson Announces Retirement


The Arizona Cardinals now have only one former Notre Dame student-athlete at the tight end position (Troy Niklas) -- as it was announced today that John Carlson has retired after seven seasons in the NFL.

Carlson played for the Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings -- and this past year with the Cardinals.

John earned $14,667,750 over his seven year NFL career:  NFL SALARY

Domer Craig Counsell Named Brewers Manager



Craig Counsell, a 1992 graduate of the University of Notre Dame has been named the manager of the Milwaukee Brewers!

Counsell, a second baseman for the Fighting Irish went on to have a sixteen year career in the Big Leagues -- earning two World Series rings, one in Miami (1997) and one in Arizona (2001).

He's been working in the Brewer's front office for the past three years -- now he's back on the field!

Congrats Craig!

Domer Feeney Anchors TEAM USA Relay Win!


Notre Dame All-American Pat Feeney ran the anchor leg of the 4 x 400 for Team USA in the USA vs. The World Track Meet.  Feeney's split was faster than the OLYMPIC SILVER MEDALIST'S -- think about that!

Koyack Drafted by Jaguars / Free Agent Domers


A Notre Dame tight end is drafted once again into the NFL...

Ben Koyack was the lone Fighting Irish player drafted in the 2015 NFL Draft -- because Stephon Tuitt, Troy Nicholas and Luis Nix opted to leave early for last year's Draft.

In addition -- these players announced they had agreed to free agent deals with the following NFL teams:
  • Kyle Brindza:  Detroit Lions
  • Cody Riggs:  Tennessee Titans
  • Davaris Daniels:  Minnesota Vikings
  • Andrew Hendrix:  Oakland Raiders

Cardinals Exercise Contract Option With Floyd


Former Notre Dame All-American Michael Floyd received word yesterday that the Arizona Cardinals "exercised their option" keeping Michael under contract for 2015 and 2016.

Floyd will make $1.75 million in salary this season and $7.3 million in salary in 2016.
