The team that no one and I mean NO ONE -- gave a chance to beat LSU today -- stood their TOE TO TOE and beat them!

Look at these numbers against one of those "vaunted" SEC defenses:

  • Total Offense:  449 yards
  • Time of Possession:  37 minutes
  • First Downs:  23
  • Points:  31

All I will say is this:

The Fighting Irish are less than 24 hours away from kicking it off in the 2014 Music City Bowl.  Today the teams took their official photos and Coach Kelly met with the media -- as did Coach VanGorder and Coach Denbrock.
